Step 2 – Safety First

Make sure you have a clear path from your starting point (mattress) to your destination point (truck), so when you begin the removal, you have limited the liability of someone getting hurt from an object or something hazardous.

Step 3 – Mattress Removal

Before lifting the mattress, take a second to collect yourself for the challenge. Then proceed

  • Stand the mattress up vertically.
  • Find a firm and comfortable grip on the mattress.
  • Lift & Move on the same accord as your helper
  • Once you get the mattress to the truck or trailer, give yourself a second to collect your strength and put the bed in the back of the truck or trailer.

Step 4 – Secure Your Load

Using your tie-down straps, tightly secure the mattress between 2 anchor points on the truck bed. Always secure your load! Not securing your load can potentially be lethal to other drivers on the road! Keep our streets clear and safe so PLEASE ALWAYS SECURE YOUR LOAD!

Step 5 – Mattress Disposal

Now that Your Mattress has been securely loaded into the truck, its now time to dispose of it! Look up your local disposal facility. Call ahead or check their website to confirm they accept mattresses. Typically there is a fee involved, and you may have to be a resident of the city or county to use the facility.
